Overview
The Thrombosis Program is an academic program affiliated with Vancouver Coastal Health and the University of British Columbia.
The program comprises hematologists and support staff who work at the Thrombosis Clinic at the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) in Vancouver. VGH is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine. It is the largest hospital in BC and second-largest hospital in Canada.
Staff at the Thrombosis Clinic are dedicated to providing outstanding, patient-centered care to people with venous thromboembolism. We primarily serve Vancouver residents, and also provide tertiary level consultation to people across the province. We educate patients, their families, and primary care physicians about venous thromboembolism.
The Thrombosis Program also is active in medical education and conducts patient-centered research.
